Harris County School District has updated the 2026–2027 academic calendar.
To better align with Muscogee County School District and support the convenience of our families and staff, Spring Break has been moved to April 5–9, 2027.
The change was approved by the Board of Education after stakeholder feedback showed strong support for aligning the schedules.
Please refer to the updated district calendar for details.

All Harris County School District offices and schools will be closed March 30 through April 3 for Spring Break.
Please enjoy your time off and stay safe. Classes will resume on Monday, April 6.

Healthy schools take all of us.
We are currently experiencing an uptick in airborne illnesses across the district. Our school nurses are caring for students each day, and we appreciate everyone’s help in reinforcing simple habits that make a big difference.
Please remember:
✔ Stay home when sick — especially with fever (100.4°+), vomiting, diarrhea, rash, or breathing concerns.
✔ Return only after being symptom-free and fever-free (without medication) for 24 hours.
✔ Wash hands frequently and thoroughly.
✔ Cover coughs and sneezes.
✔ Avoid sharing drinks, food, or personal items.
✔ Maintain space when possible and avoid close contact with those who are ill.
Masks remain optional for students, staff, and visitors who prefer to wear them.
Following these practices reduces — though does not completely eliminate — the risk of spreading viral or bacterial illnesses. Thank you for helping us keep Harris County schools healthy, safe, and focused on learning.
